Paint It Out
An expressive arts workshop for discovering meaning through color.
Let your intuition lead
This virtual, single-session workshop invites you to explore a meaningful part of your life through abstract painting. Guided exercises help you use color, shape, and movement to give visual form to your experience, with no need to plan, explain, or find the right words first. In a supportive, trauma-informed environment designed for people living with dissociative identity disorder (DID) and other forms of trauma-based dissociation, thoughtfully sequenced activities help you follow what emerges, discover personal meaning, and see what you carry in a new way. All experience levels welcome.

What to bring
Confidentiality and Community agreements
Building a safe, supportive space is something we do together. By registering, you’re agreeing to hold the privacy and confidentiality of everyone in this group, including their identities and anything shared during our time together.
You’re also agreeing not to record, photograph, or screenshot any part of a meeting. If there’s ever a specific need to do so, it requires written permission from canDID Expressions and every participant involved.
Fee structure and accessibility
canDID Expressions believes that creative expression can transform lives, and that our offerings should be accessible to everyone. To support this commitment while sustaining our operational costs, we use a sliding scale. This approach reflects our values of community, collective care, and shared responsibility, inviting those with greater financial capacity to help offset costs for those with more limited access to income.
We trust you to thoughtfully consider your relationship to wealth and resources, both within our community and in the broader global context, when selecting your rate. Your generosity and good faith help keep this work accessible to all.
Our current sliding scale rates are:
$39.00 Sustaining rate: reflects our costs and helps support future programming
$30.00 Reflects the actual cost of this offering
$18.00 Subsidized rate
$10.00 Accessible rate: please choose this rate only if you couldn’t otherwise participate
If our lowest sliding scale rate still creates a barrier to participation, you are welcome to apply for a scholarship.
